Biselda and Pablo

"The fates of our next pair, puppies still, is equally intertwined. As usual, I spotted Biselda while on the road, by the side of a very busy road to be precise. She caught my eye not only because of her mange, but also because of her limp. She was still young, perhaps some 4 months, so I guessed that she may have been involved in a traffic accident. I was on the scooter that day, so I stopped by the road to find the owner. Everybody always denies responsibility or even having ever seen the animal before, in fear of anger or repercussions perhaps. But when they find out all I want to do is help, for free no less, I'm quickly directed to the rightful owner. They confirm that she had been in an accident and her age. Additionally, they tell me that I know the man of the house! It appears he works at our house as a painter! The next day, the painter brings Biselda to us and we immediately prepare a kennel for her, take her to ASU for treatment and so on.

"A few days later, an unknown puppy appears in the kennel next to that of Biselda. When I ask around where the puppy comes from, the painter tells me it belongs to his neighbour but since he now recognises the same illness (mange) that Biselda has, he persuaded the neighbours to give the puppy, we call him Pablo, to us. Pablo is much younger and apart from having mange, his belly is swollen with parasites. Fortunately, we already have two other puppies and a surrogate mother in the shape of Oprah, so that his social skills won't be impaired as he grows up."
