Adoptions

Adoption is the happy ending to a difficult beginning. Many of our dogs come from challenging circumstances, but through rescue, medical treatment, foster care, patience, and love, they are given a second chance at life.

We focus on thoughtful, well-matched adoptions that help set both dogs and families up for long-term success. Every adoption not only changes one life — it also makes room for the next dog in need.

Low-Cost Spay & Neuter

Overpopulation remains one of the biggest contributors to animal suffering. Thousands of dogs face starvation, injury, neglect, and abandonment each year simply because there are not enough resources or homes available.

We believe prevention is essential. Spaying and neutering help prevent unwanted litters while also supporting healthier, happier pets.

Because many puppies arrive too young to be altered before transport, spay and neuter procedures are included in our adoption fee. Adopters work with our team to schedule these procedures at the appropriate age based on veterinary recommendations after adoption. We also help connect adopters with affordable veterinary resources and low-cost clinics in their communities so responsible care can continue long after adoption day.

Veterinary Care

Every dog entering our rescue in the islands receives the veterinary care needed to thrive. While some require only routine wellness care, many arrive into rescue injured, malnourished, ill, or in need of more extensive medical treatment.

Thanks to our dedicated veterinary partners in Puerto Rico, we are able to provide lifesaving care to dogs and cats who otherwise might not have a chance. From vaccines and spay/neuter procedures to emergency medical treatment and recovery support, every animal is treated with dignity, compassion, and a path toward healing before flying to the mainland for adoption.

Once in the United States, we continue supporting each dog’s medical needs through wellness exams, follow-up veterinary care, spay/neuter appointments, and emergency treatment when needed. Our goal is to ensure every dog receives consistent care throughout their rescue journey and transitions into a permanent home.
