Meet Alfonso, aka Charlie

This sweet boy is a total cuddle bug inside who loves being close to his people and dog friends. He’s still coming out of his shell and learning to trust, but once he bonds with you, he’s incredibly loyal and affectionate.

Charlie has a playful, mischievous side and keeps his foster smiling every day. He’s making great progress with training, especially with recall and “wait,” and while “sit” has been a bit slower (he’s still a little unsure when outside), he’s improving with patience and consistency.

He can be a bit nervous with strangers and wide open spaces but he’s already making positive strides with guidance and structure.  He would love a confident dog to follow.

At 6.5 months old and around 26 lbs, Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and recently arrived from Puerto Rico. He enjoys other dogs and is learning what it means to be part of a loving family.

Full of potential and love, Charlie is looking for a patient forever home to help him continue to grow and thrive
