Caribbean Paws Adoption Network is led by a small, highly collaborative leadership team with experience in rescue, animal care, adoption, and organizational management. While each role is distinct, our work is deeply connected because successful rescue doesn’t end at transport or adoption — it continues through lifelong support.

Executive Director

Jennifer Myers

Jennifer leads Caribbean Paws Adoption Network with a focus on expanding lifesaving adoption opportunities for dogs rescued from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. With years of hands-on management experience, she oversees partnerships, organizational compliance, and daily operations while ensuring the rescue remains grounded in ethical practices, transparency, and long-term impact.  Jennifer also supports adopters fosters and adopters by setting up spay/neuter appointments and sharing dog supplies as needed.

Adoption & Volunteer Director

Trish Zimmerman

With more than 20 years of experience in animal rescue, Trish leads our foster, adoption, and volunteer programs with a focus on thoughtful placements and long-term success. She specializes in building foster relationships, guiding adopters through the transition process, and creating supportive alumni communities that continue long after adoption day. Trish works closely with fosters, adopters, and rescue partners to help ensure every placement is informed, supported, and built to last.

How We Work in Alignment

Our leadership team works collaboratively with one shared priority: the well-being of the dogs and the success of the families who adopt them.

• Rescue & Care Coordination: Any medical or behavioral needs identified during rescue may help guide foster placement, adoption readiness, and ongoing support planning.

• Adoption Support: Adoption is not the end of the relationship. We continue supporting adopters with guidance, resources, and follow-up care as dogs settle into their homes.

• Foster-Centered Rescue: Foster families are essential to our mission. We support them through communication, coordinated care plans, and teamwork throughout each dog and cat’s journey.

• Lifelong Commitment: F rom intake through alumni updates, we believe rescue organizations carry responsibilities well beyond adoption day.

Foster Families

Our foster families are at the heart of Caribbean Paws Adoption Network. By opening their homes, they give rescue dogs and cats a safe place to rest, heal, and learn what it means to be part of a family. Fosters help dogs and cats adjust to home life while supporting any medical care, observing behavior, and helping prepare them for successful adoption.

Fostering doesn’t just save lives — it changes them.

Volunteers

Our volunteers are the heart behind Caribbean Paws Adoption Network. From transport support and events to administrative help, outreach, and behind-the-scenes coordination, volunteers help turn compassion into action every day.

Whether helping hands-on or behind the scenes, volunteers play a direct role in helping dogs receive consistent care and helping adopters feel supported throughout the process.
